Acer Aspire V5-471P Laptop Review
At a discount of 20% on Amazon, I certainly had to grab this deal. The Acer Aspire V5 series has always caught my eye and this was my chance to purchase one of those excellent systems.
The first boot-up allowed me to personalize my laptop with the Windows 8 operating system. It was a fast process, unlike the previous Windows 7 first boot. It took me a few weeks to fully understand how to navigate among the stylish tile block user interface, but now I love it.
For the tasks that I complete on a daily basis, the Acer Aspire V5-471P is more than able to do the job. Everything from running the internet, typing up papers, Adobe Phot0Shop, iTunes, and more runs well on this laptop.
For the technical users that are reading, the laptop has an Intel Core i3-3227u processor that runs at 1.9 GHz. There is also 4 GB of DDR3 RAM available on the system. If you rely on graphics, than the Intel HD Graphics 4000 chipset shouldn’t be disappointing unless gaming happens to be why you want to purchase this laptop.
I’m not a huge gaming fanatic, however I have ran World of Warcraft on the laptop fine. No lag or graphic incompatibilities.
Battery life is great while simply roaming the internet or typing papers. You’re looking at close to five hours of charge when on a full battery. Not bad at all.
The exterior of the Acer Aspire V5-471P is completely up to date. This laptop actually looks like it’s from 2013 rather than 2008. The entire unit is silky silver, with the exception of the keyboard. On the cover you will find ‘Acer’ indented in white.
Its display is 14 inches wide and features a 10-point multi touch display. It’s awesome to be able to touch the display rather than type or user the mouse whenever I want. I was stunned that this cheap of a laptop was able to even feature a touchscreen display.
