The ASUS A53U-EB11 is an outdated laptop (new model available) that can be found at a discounted price. It runs the Windows 7 operating system, although it can be upgraded very cheaply to Windows 8.

ASUS A53U-EB11 Laptop Review
Despite some of the bad reviews of the ASUS A53U-EB11, I went out and purchased one for myself. I needed a laptop for school last fall and decided that this ASUS machine matched my needs.
It’s cheap and has just enough processing power to complete my daily tasks. Its AMD Dual-Core C-60 1GHz Processor isn’t the best, however you get what you pay for. Same with the 2 GB of SO-DIMM RAM that ASUS has provided. It’s not a horsepower laptop, however it can complete the most basic of tasks.
Along with being a great type of laptop to complete school work (Microsoft Office & internet), it’s fairly good entertainment laptop too. No, it cannot run games, but the 15.6″ LED display is perfect for watching HD TV or movies in 1080p resolution. It’s equipped with a semi-great graphic’s core – AMD Radeon™ HD 6290 Graphics.
The keyboard and trackpad are both highly responsive. The buttons are easy to press and the trackpad seamlessly responds with ease. Its keyboard provides a full keypad.
ASUS had the goal of creating an eye popping stylish laptop and they sure did exert the job. The entire ASUS A53U-EB11 is the color Mocha and the front cover features the ‘Asus’ brand name in white. It’s also just 5.72 pounds light and very slim — just not as slim as a ultrabook.
In the end, it’s not the fastest notebook. I’ve recently added 2 GB more RAM to the system and it has done wonders. I would experience a slight lag while loading programs before, but that hasn’t been a problem lately.
